About MGZAVREBI
MGZAVREBI, meaning “Travellers” in Georgian, was founded in 2006 by Gigi Dedalamazishvili. Starting with just three musicians, the band has grown into a powerhouse ensemble of seven talented artists. Known for their unique blend of Georgian folk and rock, MGZAVREBI’s music is a harmonious mix of traditional Georgian singing and modern instrumental sounds, featuring national instruments like the panduri.
Over the past 18 years, MGZAVREBI has released nine albums, captivated audiences in over 50 cities, and dazzled at more than 100 festivals worldwide. Their lyrical compositions, primarily in Georgian with some songs in Ukrainian, resonate deeply with listeners, making each performance an emotional and unforgettable experience. The band’s music video, “Waltz,” even earned a spot on the shortlist for the prestigious Clio Awards in the ‘Best Video’ category.
